In my pastor's opening comments on Sunday, he said that "We celebrate Easter every week!" And that's true. But I gotta tell ya, Sunday felt like the very first Easter. Halfway through, I had the thought that "Preaching was in the worship. And worship was in the preaching."

Yep. It was that good. Thank you, Jesus, for sure.

Richard Dawkins, the world's most popular evolutionist and atheist, seems to be softening his stance. He states that he is a "cultural Christian."

Hmmm. Is he hedging his bets as he gets older? He might take a cue from the former world's #1 atheist. Sir Anthony Flew announced (perhaps 20 years ago?) that he would take a fresh look at all the evidence. His published paper afterwards got him banned from his community. His money quote ran something like this: "I don't know if his name is Allah, Buddha or Yahweh, but I do know that there is a Creator." Don't know if he attempted to narrow it down before his death.

Just back from an overnight trip a few hours away to scope out the needed repair work that a small church needs. Such good fellowship with the pastor and his congregation. Yes, they're brothers and sisters in Christ, but it felt like so much more than that. They were kinfolk.

As a former Catholic, and current Pentecostal, I was greatly offended by what I saw in a video. Yesterday, President Biden was onstage at a pro-abortion rally in Florida. During the speaker's derogatory comments about Gov Desantis, Biden three times made the sign of the cross. Blasphemy? A crude attempt at humor? Or, knowing the subject of the rally, was he unconsciously trying to protect himself from a bolt of lightning?

The first thing that came to my mind was the similarity to Peter's 3-time denial of Jesus. Peter repented and received forgiveness. Biden? He may be too far gone down the path to perdition for repentance to come to mind.
