Culture Crash Empty
PostSubject: Culture Crash   Culture Crash EmptyFri May 03, 2024 11:17 am

Back in the "old days," it took a long time before the craziness on the left and right coasts reached the rest of America. But not so during the last 15 years. Thanks to social media on "smart" phones, our kids are instantly bombarded with the worst of the worst. If it's within your power, and for parents it is, don't give them to kids. Their brains aren't sufficiently developed. And social media, especially TikTok, is designed to addict them.

I raised my boys in the 80's and 90's, and they are well-balanced Christian men. But a couple of my grand-daughters are seriously off the rails, and horrible "influencers" on social media did it to them. I pray for my girls daily.

Jesus should be our influencer.

In the last few years, when going to the VA for an annual checkup, I've been given some eye-opening warnings. "Your blood tests show that everything is within the desired parameters, BUT...you're pre-diabetes." Or, "You're pre-kidney disease," or "Your moles are pre-cancerous." It's felt like I'm in the middle of a pharmaceutical commercial that is trying to sell their product with doom and gloom.

Everything can be described with a prefix. "I'm a pre-billionaire, pre-jet pilot, pre-great grandfather, pre senior athletic world record holder, and pre-deep sea diver on oil rigs." (Actually, one of those is true.) We are pre-anything and everything, because it hasn't happened yet. Many things are possible, but fewer are probable.

And not everything is permissible. Because we have ignored that warning, it is probable that our country will fail within a couple of generations. It's possible that it will fail within a single generation.

We live in a country that is already post-Christian. Our country's condition is now pre-Hell. And there's only one cure.
