...It Leads.

Newspaperman William Randolph Hearst is credited with saying, "If it bleeds, it leads!" in the late 1890s. (Nowadays, we might say, "If it helps the left, don't matter if truth is bereft.")

As we enter the Easter season, wouldn't it be nice if the news industry covered the most significant loss of blood in the history of mankind? As time goes on, a smaller and smaller percentage of people are aware of the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross. Forget covering the White House Easter Egg Roll. In these days, the people need to hear the good news, right? Who wants to watch the big bunny push Biden away from the reporters again, anyway?

(Note to self: Pray for our leaders.)

Everything wears out or breaks over the course of time. This would include items used in religious ceremonies, such as those in the Temple. I doubt that the High Priest would throw away or recycle an item, instead "retiring" it to storage. Which brings up the curtain that was torn in two upon Christ's death on the cross. The high priest wouldn't have it repaired, as it would serve as a constant reminder of what had happened. Did he burn it? Or did he put it into deep storage? What if it's still in Jerusalem, waiting to be unearthed?
