Lost Leaders Empty
PostSubject: Lost Leaders   Lost Leaders EmptyWed Feb 28, 2024 2:37 pm

Like I often do, I was pondering about the lack of young leaders, when something hit me. A decade ago, bad theology crept into my church, which led to a big exodus. Once discovered, it was purged, but the damage was done. It's nothing short of a miracle that my church survived. And just when we were growing again, COVID hit and we lost more people, just like every other church out there.

The combination of those two events, in my opinion, wiped out a generation of future leaders who would normally have gone through a (super) natural maturation process. Current leadership can grumble and complain, and keep leading into their 80's, waiting for the next generation to mature. Or they can pray for the Holy Spirit's wisdom in fixing it now.
